FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions...

Which class should I enrol my child in?

Generally, students should stay within their age appropriate class: Young Performers (Prep-Gr 3) Foundation (Gr 3-6) Intermediate (Yr 7-9) and Advanced (Yr 10-12.) Often parents would like their child to advance to the next level at the changeover points - Yr 3, 6 and 9 but we encourage you to consider the fact that this is the stage where they are at the top end of their level and therefore, will generally have more of a chance of experiencing having a solo role in our productions. By moving too quickly, students can lose this opportunity. If you are unsure, your teacher can help place your child after your trial session.

Why do we need to enrol for the full year?

All students perform in a major production and other smaller performances throughout the year which are costly endeavors for the company. We divide the production costs between your payment installments, so it is important that your child attend for the full year. An exit fee to cover outstanding production costs.will apply should you leave earlier

Why do students wear a uniform?

By wearing a comfortable and stylish uniform to class, exams and performances, our students are projecting a professional image of our company. It helps them to feel part of a unique group and encourages grooming and presentation skills which are highly valued in the performing arts industry.

What if we have commitments that clash with performance/rehearsal dates?

We understand the busy lives of families and that clashes happen from time to time. Although it is VERY important that students are available for big rehearsals/performances, we can sometimes come to an arrangement if you are struggling to fit things in. The most important thing is to TELL US EARLY and we will do our best to help.
